Fly by Night
Fly by Night was created as a part of my graduate school thesis project comparing the differences in neurological relaxation responses to gameplay in virtual reality and on traditional monitors. Fly by Night puts players in an open-ended role of a bird-like creature flying through an ethereal afterlife setting. Hoops spawn in the sky around the environment for players to fly through and score points.
Using an EEG headset, players' brain waves were recorded during gameplay. Fly by Night is playable both on PC and in VR using an Oculus Quest headset. I was the sole developer, experimenter, and author of this project.
